The Town of Farmington
Farmington is one of the fastest growing towns in Ontario County. Experiencing exceptional growth in commercial and industrial development, this bustling township is now positioned as the epicenter of activity. Farmington offers an excellent quality of life. Several town parks, fine educational facilities provide a mixture of suburban and country living experiences.
Located in Ontario County, Farmington is approximately 25 miles southeast of Rochester. We consider ourselves the western gateway to the scenic Finger Lakes Region of New York State. Our population has grown to over 13,000 as of the 2012 U.S. Census. Largely a farming community, small businesses are becoming a core part of the town.
Surrounded by a skilled labor force from Ontario County and the nearby surrounding areas, an expanding Industrial Park, that is within one half mile from Exit 44 of the Thruway, places the Farmington community in an ideal location for businesses to grow.
Ontario County Office of Economic Development (OED), Industrial Development Agency (OCIDA), Economic Development Corporation (OCEDC), and Local Development Corporation (OCLDC)
